Candy, gum, mints and coffee should not be consumed if your lab tests require fasting. You may still take your medication with small amounts of water, unless your doctor has told you otherwise. Our labs define fasting as no food, drink or smoking for 12 hours before blood is drawn. Please bring the lab test order (if the doctor has given one to you), photo identification and your insurance card.
